About This Spot

Stepping into Village Coffee feels like slipping into a familiar corner of Portland's Multnomah Village where time slows just enough to savor a quiet moment. The rhythm here is unhurried, a gentle contrast to the busier spots that shadow the city, inviting visitors to linger over a carefully crafted drink and the simple pleasure of good company. Light spills through windows onto warm wood tones, creating an atmosphere that’s both inviting and understated — the kind of place where you might find locals settling in with a book or friends catching up over conversation that flows as naturally as the freshly brewed coffee.

This neighborhood café holds onto the charm of an earlier Portland era, offering a genuine alternative to the city’s trendier spots. It’s cozy but never cramped, with a handful of indoor seats and a small sidewalk setup that encourage you to soak up the neighborhood’s breezy pulse. Village Coffee doesn’t chase the latest coffee trends; instead, it quietly serves up comforting classics with thoughtful touches — like a creamy dirty chai or a mocha crowned with chocolate whipped cream, each sip reflecting a barista’s care and deep familiarity with their craft.

Beyond the drinks, there’s an authentic warmth in the way the small team behind the counter engages with each visitor. It’s a place where personal recommendations replace a menu’s endless options, where the baristas seem as rooted in the community as the local art displayed on the walls. Supporting Village Coffee feels like supporting the neighborhood itself — a small, steady heart beating in the midst of Portland’s evolving landscape.

My Go To for chill, relaxed coffee post Fat City. upport Andrew and his great barristas. Eschew the corporate, aetificial comforts of Starbucks and enjoy the natural. Sit outside with the locals and feel the breeze.

I love this place. It’s a nostalgic 90s Portland coffee shop with much better coffee. I was deciding whether to try this for the first time or go to Grand Central, but I’m so glad I stopped in. If you’re looking Portland hipster coffee (a la Roseline or Good), this isn’t it. But if you want cozy and friendly, this is your place. I’ll definitely come back.

I've been to Village Coffee a couple of times. It's an interesting coffee alternative to Marco's Café and the Starbucks that's just down the street. I think you get more personalized service here - and maybe better foam art on your latte! Not a lot of seating inside but there's also a few options on the sidewalk.

I love this cute, little cafe in the charming Multnomah Village neighborhood in SW Portland. It's got a quaint vibe and a good variety of drinks. They also sell local artists' work, which is a bonus. Supporting small businesses is super important to me, and helping out these small neighborhoods keeps their personal charm alive.

Friendly coffee shop in the comfortable and fun Multnomah Village neighborhood of Portland. Definitely fits the vibes of this part of town. It's pretty small and can get crowded easily, but cozy. They have a ton of flavors to offer here, and I would highly recommend the buttery rum. Baristas seem to have a good knowledge of what syrup goes well with each drink. The guy doing my order when I visited was nice and helpful. Prices are good too.

Being the total idiot I am, I assumed there was Apple Pay before ordering. When I had issues with my card of course Apple Pay decided to be a problem and the owner without even blinking just said the drink was on him and gave it to me I’ve never felt so stupid, I will be back to pay for it and the owner really is an awesome guy. Much thanks for dealing with my idiocy and making my day.
